rhenzo socks dark blue

More socks for Rhenzo, the baby with wider than usual calves! My own pattern. Note the contrast wool on the toes – this serves a useful function – as babies grow, their feet usually get longer quicker than they get wider …you can unpick the contrast wool, which is the decrease section, and insert extra length. It only takes about 20 minutes for the pair, and it means you get more use out of a hand-knitted pair of socks.

Rhenzo’s socks – a commission for a baby who has chunky little calves but normal sized feet, which means ordinary socks just dig into his legs leaving marks behind. So, tailor-made socks for him, knitted to fit. DK wool, knitted on 4mm double pointed needles. The pattern is my own.
